Training to be a yoga teacher is a transformative journey, and sharing the benefits of yoga with others is often an experience that defies words. However, often contemporary yoga practices, cultures, and communities are exclusive and inaccessible to a wide variety of people, for a wide variety of reasons.

All too often, students may feel like they don’t belong in a yoga space.

This training is designed to address this, by guiding yoga teachers towards the skills and framework necessary to dismantle the dynamics of yoga culture that prevent people from feeling included and welcome.

"Thank you so much for an amazing teacher training experience. I learnt loads, and found a lot of energy and inspiration from what you brought to the weekend, and what I learnt from you as a teacher. It felt like a natural and meaningful progression to what I learnt on my 200 hour [teacher training]."

Course Outline

Over seven weekly seminars, delivered online and running for approximately 2.5 hours, we’ll touch on a wide-range of communities from older people, to the LGBTQ+ and disabled communities. We’ll look at not only how to make the physical practices of yoga more inclusive, but also business, philosophy and teaching methodology.

If you are ready for your yoga practice and teaching to give back, this training will provide you with the ability to do this with awareness, passion and intention.

"The course was extremely informative, thought-provoking and it illuminated a number of areas which I had not considered before - namely explicit consent for adjustments and the colonisation of yoga. It enabled me to gain a thorough understanding of the complex issues which may prevent people from feeling they belong at a yoga class and thus don't access the many benefits of the practice. The introduction to chair yoga was also hugely beneficial and will be a great asset to me as a teacher in the years to come."

"I wanted to get in touch to say a huge HUGE thank you for the course this weekend. I actually don’t know where to start, except that from the practices right down to the lectures it was all totally bob on and right up my street. Completely mind-blowing in parts, reassuring in others and all the way through completely inspiring. It has helped me cement some of my ideas much more, and revisit others in my business practice. "
