Chair Yoga for Pregnancy & Postpartum

Upcoming Dates:

Saturday 29 November 2025 | 11:30-15:30 GMT | Online via Zoom & Recording Available

Chair yoga can be an incredible practice during pregnancy and postpartum, when our bodies sometimes need more support as they grow, carry, birth and recover. Join Harriet for this 4 hour CPD workshop, guiding you through how you can include chair yoga during pregnancy and postpartum into your teaching. All the way from using a chair for 1-2 poses during a class, to offering an entire class focussed around the chair, you’ll be surprised to discover the depth, strength, space and rest that practicing with a chair can offer.

We’ll also consider how we can be inclusive of several common situations that can arise during pregnancy and postpartum, including pelvic girdle pain, pelvic floor injuries and recovery, discomfort in the upper body due to feeding/holding positions, sleep disturbances, and use during labour.

Who is this workshop for?

This workshop is suitable for any yoga teacher looking to be more inclusive of pregnant and postpartum students, especially if you have already completed your Pregnancy & Postnatal Yoga Teacher Training (though this is not a requirement to attend). Please note that in order to teach specialised pregnancy and postnatal classes, it is generally required that you have completed a full training course.

If you are currently pregnant and wanting to take the workshop for your own benefit and practice, this is most welcome.
