Professional Development & Mentoring Module
Nourish’s Mentoring Program offers an opportunity for yoga teachers to support each other and grow together in a community of care, attention and learning. You’ll be able to seek advice, ask questions and share concerns that arise in your teaching practice.
Through a mixture of small-group mentoring (3 people + Harriet per group) and one-to-one support, you’ll be guided through a 6 month program intended to look at every aspect of your teaching practice. Whilst the program may look quite detailed, we will enjoy and encourage the natural adaptability and flexibility we can embrace in small groups to tailor to your needs and questions.
A new group starts every three months or so, depending on demand, for a maximum of 12 students per year. Spaces are limited and you’re encouraged to honour your commitment to your group and the program.
This can be completed any time during your training, and is available as a standalone CPD program if you prefer.
Please read more about the Professional Development & Mentoring Program here.
Pre-Reading
In total, there are sixteen (16) hours of pre-reading required for various modules. All texts that are required for pre-reading will be provided in a digital format. Pre-reading hours also include time spent answering short reading questions, which must be submitted in order for each module to be completed.
Course Size
Each module is limited to 16 students per module (3 people per group in mentoring), for a personal and intimate training experience.
This is one of our key features: for many teacher training programs there are often 25-35 other trainees in the room. With Nourish’s small intakes, you’ll receive a greater level of personalised attention, feedback and learning throughout the course.
Eligibility & Prerequisites
Please note if your initial teacher training is not registered with Yoga Alliance, completing Nourish’s 300 hour advanced teacher training does not automatically qualify you to register with Yoga Alliance.
In-depth modules have a range of suitability. Some are suitable for yoga students and current 200 hour trainees, while others are only suitable for those with a 200 hour certification or significant yoga experience. Please check each module for suitability, and pop us an email if you have any questions.
You must hold a 200 hour teacher training certification in order to complete our Professional Development & Mentoring Program.
There is no age limit. If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, or have an injury or condition that you are concerned might effect your capacity to participate, please get in touch with us to discuss how we can accommodate you. We’re committed to making our trainings accessible and inclusive.
